Recent researches have found that there are over 7,000 ingredients available to manufacturers for use in toiletries and cosmetics and about 1,000 aromatic and perfume chemicals. More than one thousand are known to have harmful effects and are subject to legal restriction and yet still found in our products. Some are found to be potentially contaminated with cancer causing chemicals.

• Tests that were carried recently by the Food and Drug Administration found that a large number of these chemicals are in some finished products.
